Vba excel screenupdating not working who is david schwimmer dating

As the model has grown in size I have started to encounter the screen flickering as the macro jumps from one sheet to another - despite scren Updating being false and also the run time has gone from 1 minute to 4 minutes The net is awash with this problem and ideas on causes however the use of Select is commonly blamed Ignorance on my part means that I cannot alter the use of Select in my code to see if the flickering stops.

I would appreciate if someone could give me guidance on how to circumvent the use of Select in this code Check which ports are open to the outside world.

When the user selects the sheet (Using a Radio Button) a procedure is run that selects the sheet and activates it. Screen Updating = False, then some code runs which sets up the sheet and activates it. Now after some investigating I realized that Excel was not done activating the sheet so if I wait long enough the sheet might display.

The last statement of the procedure sets Application. Now if I remove the Screen Updating statements from the code then the sheet is displayed correctly and usually in a short period of time.

If you decide to soldier on I have attached the code as it now looks with the debugs ironed out SCREEN-FLICKER-2The subnet calculator helps you design networks by taking an IP address and network mask and returning information such as network, broadcast address, and host range.

Good Morning Thanks for the quick response Re your comments Sensitivity issues precluded me attaching the relevant workbook and a mock up would not necessarilly be reflective of the complexity. And why the 2nd macro (in other workbook) runs perfect with or without Screenupdating =true ? If you then call another macro (macro2) that turns it back on, you will see the screen refresh at that moment.Hi, I've got a listbox which populates a second listbox from cells on a hidden worksheet which is done through macros. I have tried moving the code to another procedure and doing Screen Updating = False Call Routine Screen Updating = True This has not worked.I tried adding Doevents after the screenupdating statements and that has not worked either.Hello experts i have this macro (which calls macros in other workbooks) and the Application. Screen Updating=false is not working Here is my code: Application. My Office and anti-virus software are current, I disabled all add-ins, I ran Off Cat, I disabled all animation. My default printer does not effect this (I tried the Document Writer and there was no difference).Has anyone experienced this before and found a solution? So from my viewpoint Screen Updating is not working correctly. This is an issue because when activating some sheets, I am doing things in the background that have been "Hidden" to this point but with screenupdating all ways "on" the user will see everything.
